We install solar systems year-around. Although we do take time out of the bitter cold days to do some training, our team thoroughly enjoys what they do and would certainly rather be outside installing solar and heat pumps.

Although the flat dormer was larger, this little space provided the right amount of room for a small solar array…and it’s much easier to get to when it covers with snow. The flat dormer was inaccessible for snow removal and would hold the snow longer due to it’s slight pitch.

Our original installation happened in February of 2017 for this homeowner. They’ve since increased their consumption. This late spring we got to return to add to the system and round out the array to fit the roof in order to bring their production closer to their consumption.

Our team thoroughly enjoyed working with this homeowner. They had a photovoltaic (electricity producing) and a thermal (hot water) solar system on the roof from years past. Their consumption has increased which means the current systems are not taking care of their needs. We added another photovoltaic system that utilizes more efficient modules and micro Read More…

In the mountains of Ripton, this newly build horse barn is now sporting a solar system with room to grow should the family increase their electricity in the future. Our team thoroughly enjoyed working on this property with these delightful Vermonters. While completing the trench to run electricity to the barn, our team used the Read More…

Not only do we work on grid-tied systems, we also work on off-grid systems. This system will supply the electricity needed for a family with young children. The family is very careful with their consumption and therefore didn’t need a very big system. Most off-grid system owners are incredibly connected and tuned into their electricity Read More…

This array is tucked into the side of a field on the side of a mountain. It is located away from the house that you can barely see through the trees behind the array. It won’t be seem from the home when there are leaves on the trees and barely so when the leaves have Read More…

When there isn’t enough room on one roof surface, we look at the return on investment potential on more than one. In this case, it made financial sense to utilize both of these roof surfaces over adding a ground mounted array to make up the difference needed.

This system is a “2nd generation” in a sense. We worked for the homeowner at their previous home on their solar system there as well. This system is installed on a duplex. Both sides have solar systems. They are tucked up out of sight and will both make power credits for decades.

This building was built in the spare where a small shed used to stand. It will become a farm stand within a year or two. For now, it is supplying solar credits to pay the homeowner’s electricity bill.

Yes, we do install ground mounted arrays in the early winter. They are more easily cleared of snow because folks can walk up to them to brush them off…AND they shed the snow well without the assistance of their owners anyway.

The solar system size limitations have changed since we installed the first part of this solar array in Vergennes. Therefore, they asked us to return and add to the system to maximize the usable space on the roof surface that is not shaded.

When planning to build this garage, the owner checked with us to make certain it had the optimum compass heading and roof pitch. We gladly work with folks during the planning & building portions of their projects. It’s always fun to see an idea become a reality.

This new home utilizes heat pumps for heating and cooling. It has a small wood stove as a backup heat source for those winter days when the power isn’t reliable. The solar system on it’s roof covers the electricity consumption costs and will for decades to come.

When a homeowner adds to their electric consumption, they often add to their solar systems to cover the costs. That was the case for this Orwell family.

We installed a system on this property owner’s home in 2014. When they built this garage, they asked us to return to install a separate system to cover added electricity consumption costs. Our team thoroughly enjoyed working on the project surrounded by views of the Champlain Valley and Lake Champlain.

By utilizing micro inverters, we mitigate the degradation caused by shading. Although this array is not currently shaded by the trees, as they grow it may be. The trees that surround the property are fully mature evergreens, however they still grow. This homeowner will benefit by the fact that every module (panel) has it’s own Read More…

We originally installed the array that takes up the left 2/3 of this roof in October of 2013. In the fall of 2020, we added the array on the right side to make up the difference in the customer’s consumption costs as they had increased over time.

With the addition of heat pumps, this Monkton resident asked us to add to their solar array…twice. Once in 2019 and again in 2020. One of the many benefits of using micro inverters is that we can easily add to solar systems.
